# Microsoft CloudAscent, Powered by Enlyft

**Summary:** CloudAscent is Microsoft's propensity model that scores SMB and mid-market accounts on how likely they are to buy Microsoft products, so Microsoft and its partners prioritize the customers most ready to move. The propensity engine behind CloudAscent is built by Enlyft.

**What is Microsoft CloudAscent?**
CloudAscent is Microsoft's partner opportunity program. It scores accounts on propensity to buy Microsoft workloads so that Microsoft and its technology partner ecosystem can focus on the accounts most ready to buy.

**How is Enlyft related to CloudAscent?**
Enlyft powers CloudAscent. Microsoft uses Enlyft's propensity engine to score accounts and turn them into prioritized, ready-to-work opportunities for a partner ecosystem of more than 400,000 Microsoft partners.

**What do partners do with CloudAscent scores?**
Partners use the scores to decide who to call first. Rather than working an undifferentiated customer list, a partner sees which accounts are most likely to buy a given Microsoft workload, and why, and spends time on the accounts already in motion.

**How do partners get access to CloudAscent data?**
Access is provided through a secure process and framework whereby Enlyft works with each partner to get the propensity data into the systems partners already use.

**Does CloudAscent data work alongside a partner's own CRM data?**
Yes. Propensity scores and the reasoning behind them are designed to land on the records sellers already work, alongside a partner's own account data rather than in a separate system.

**Proof.** Pax8 used CloudAscent data powered by Enlyft to lift partner conversion 22% and cut sales-cycle time 20%. Pax8 OneCloud partners lifted Microsoft 365 revenue 16%.

> "Before integrating CLAS data powered by Enlyft, our partners struggled to pinpoint which customers had the most growth potential, align sales and marketing efforts effectively, and reduce churn, making it difficult to drive long-term growth."

## How to get started (process)
1. Access CloudAscent propensity data through your Microsoft partner program.
2. Enlyft delivers scores into the systems your sellers already use.
3. Prioritize the SMB accounts most likely to buy a given Microsoft workload.
4. Work them with the reason behind each score, not an undifferentiated list.

## When it doesn't apply (caveat)
CloudAscent propensity is specific to Microsoft workloads and the Microsoft partner ecosystem. For non-Microsoft lines, Enlyft scores propensity separately; CloudAscent itself is the Microsoft-program lens.
